Training peace volunteers across Northeast India
FAsCE India, organised the fourth and the final ToT (Training of Trainers) on ‘Youth for Peacebuilding’ in collaboration with Fransalian Youth Mission (FYM) to train peace volunteers across Northeast India, at its head office, Guwahati, from June 11-14, 2015.

“The goal of this project is to promote grassroots level movement for peace and harmony in the seven states of Northeast India by building a network of youth willing to work for peace,”, said Fr (Dr) Emmanuel Mapplilaprambil, the executive director FAsCE India, welcoming the participants.

The final ToT (Training of Trainers) on ‘Youth for Peacebuilding’ was inaugurated by Fr Jose Karipadam MSFS, the founding director, FAsCE India. “Peacebuilding needs to address issues of human rights, economic prosperity, and environmental sustainability as much as violence that may have stretched across generations, communities and individuals,” said Fr Karipadam, in his key-note address.

A total of 22 youth from across Meghalaya and Assam participated in the training.

The Peace Channel team from Nagaland, consisting of Ms Judith Huidina, Ms Anishe and Mr Min Lotha, animated the programme that was well received by the participants.
